Job Title: Senior Finance Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and motivated Senior Finance Team Lead to lead our finance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Main Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and supervision to your client-facing finance team as supported by our Turkish SSC team, including performance management, coaching, and development
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes open communication and problem-solving
- Optimise resource allocation to meet current and future capacity demands effectively
- Oversee the chargeability of the team, ensuring efficient workload distribution and task completion
- Evaluate the development and performance of the team
- Uphold and enhance the service level and work quality of the team in line with the Company's policies and procedures
- Introduce, coach, and train newly recruited team members

Accounting Responsibilities:

- Manage the daily client accounting responsibilities, overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, financial statements, budgets, and (cash-flow) forecasts
- Ensure timely and efficient collection of outstanding payments, maintaining positive client relationships while effectively managing cash flow and minimising delinquencies
- Review financial statements and compile more complex consolidated financial statements (Dutch GAAP/IFRS)
- Review periodic tax returns
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting principles and best practices
- Evaluate and further enhance policies, procedures, and work instructions

Audit & Compliance:

- Oversee, coordinate, and provide audit assistance
- Be accountable for maintaining compliance and mitigating risks

Building & Maintaining Relationships:

- Actively engage with clients and external partners to understand their needs and expectations
- Foster open communication, listening attentively, and promptly addressing any concerns
- Seek opportunities for collaboration, joint problem-solving, and shared success
- Explore avenues for growth, such as cross-selling services or expanding existing accounts
- Identify potential clients or business partners who align with our goals and develop and nurture relationships with them.

Requirements:

- You're a Certified AA Accountant with over 10 years of senior accounting and management experience, preferably within an accountancy firm or financial services provider
- You have at least five years of team leadership experience
- You have in-depth knowledge of Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and accounting principles
- You're proficient with ERP systems
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
