Process Engineer Reliability for Customized PV Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer Reliability to join our team at TNO, a leading research organization in the Netherlands. As a Process Engineer Reliability, you will play a crucial role in the development and testing of next-generation solar technologies. You will work on the technical operation and improvement of a wide range of solar systems and processes, supporting the large-scale roll-out of solar technology in the Netherlands and Europe.
What will be your role?As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the reliability labs, including the existing and to-be-developed reliability testing equipment. You will also support your colleagues in achieving a reliable PV product by performing standard tests and developing new ones. You will own the reliability labs, adjusting or developing test procedures and setups, and executing experiments and measurements. You will ensure that the hardware and software continue to function smoothly and maintain the equipment, both internally and through external providers.
What we expect from you- You have or want to acquire solid technical knowledge about solar cell and solar module testing equipment and occurring failure modes.
- You are hands-on and not afraid to open up a machine.
- You are optimistic and curious when it comes to creating new test setups and pro-active in solving measurement- and equipment-related questions.
- You are interested in working with deterioration-equipment and processes to execute experiments and optimize results.
- You are open to learning new processes and techniques.
- You like working together with other engineers and in multidisciplinary teams in an R&D environment.
As a Process Engineer Reliability at TNO, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and varied projects with a real impact. You will be part of a diverse, international team with knowledge and know-how from a wide range of backgrounds. We offer a gross monthly salary between €3,500 and €4,500 (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33%, and a flex budget (5.58% + €500). You will also have the opportunity to develop yourself through courses, workshops, and conferences, and receive training and coaching based on your needs.
