Internal Auditor - Risk Management Expert

We are seeking a proactive Internal Auditor with a critical attitude and good communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of business complexity and dynamics, and be able to collaborate naturally with stakeholders on all different levels within the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing internal audits in accordance with the risk-based internal audit year plan, including system reviews, investigations, agreed upon procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Partnering with the business to identify control deficiencies, process improvements, and financial issues, and proposing solutions where applicable.
  • Clearly and thoroughly documenting all audit work and conclusions via a well-organized set of work papers in compliance with company standards.
  • Reporting clearly and concisely.
  • Monitoring audit recommendations and stimulating timely implementation of these recommendations.

Requirements include:

  • Chartered Accountant (RA) qualification.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in an (internal) audit position.
  • Ability to interact with executive management, the Board of Directors, external auditors, and regulatory agencies with tact and diplomacy while achieving stated objectives.
  • Professional communication and consulting skills in English and Dutch, with proficiency in Chinese a plus.
  • A keen interest in cultural differences and a strong desire to foster mutual understanding.
