The American School of The Hague is seeking a highly motivated and experienced High School Math Teacher to join our team. About the Role

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a strong background in mathematics, preferably with experience teaching IB Math HL or SL, AP Calculus, or similar curriculum. As a High School Math Teacher at ASH, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and institutional development. Your passion for teaching, commitment to excellence, and ability to inspire students will make you a valuable asset to our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and promote student engagement
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment tools
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as after-school programs, clubs, or sports teams
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, preferably with a Master's degree
  • At least five years of teaching experience in high schools, with a proven track record of success
  • Experience teaching IB Math HL or SL, AP Calculus, or similar curriculum
  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, cooperative learning, and standards-based instruction
  • Ability to integrate technology into instruction and use educational software effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents
