Job Description

The Global Reward Specialist will play a pivotal role in crafting, executing, and supervising compensation and benefits programs that entice, motivate, and retain top talent while ensuring competitive positioning within the industry. This role requires an individual with a robust analytical mindset and a profound understanding of compensation trends and benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compensation Planning:
  • Providing expertise on all initiatives related to compensation management within EU and the Americas.
  • Designing and maintaining fair compensation structures (including pensions and insurances) through regional job evaluations and annual benchmarks, ensuring market-competitive compensation across the organization.
  • Establishing processes for annual salary reviews and job evaluations to ensure equitable compensation across the organization.
  • Collaborating with the Global Reward Team in Singapore to share business needs/developments and ensure alignment on policies and programs.
  • Overseeing checks and approval processes around payroll, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Developing and overseeing employee benefit programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other perks to enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
  • Annual review of benefit programs and tracking/applying legal changes.
  • Negotiating contracts with benefits providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Performance Metrics & Programme Evaluation:
  • Preparing and presenting reports on compensation and benefits metrics to senior management, providing statistical HR data and actionable insights to improve retention and motivation but also optimizing cost structures.
  • Tracking personnel costs and ensuring overhead is kept in line with budget.
  • Communicating compensation structures and benefits programs to employees and relevant stakeholders in EU and Americas.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs (e.g., through employee surveys), making recommendations for enhancements based on employee feedback and market trends supported with actionable insights and KPIs.
  • Preparing and maintaining reports on HR metrics for management review.
  • HR Operations:
  • Management/superuser of Workday (GAR's HR system).
  • Updating and maintaining staff database.
  • Maintaining organisational charts.
  • Expense management (administration, verification, and approvals).
  • Preparation of employer statements.
  • HR Support Services:
  • Providing guidance on HR policies, employment practices, and workplace issues while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Guiding and overseeing the full employee life cycle, including the HR processes and documentation (contracts, confirmation letters, exit documents, reporting) ensuring compliance with GDPR, labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Driving continuous improvement of HR processes (employee handbook, policies, benefits etc).
  • Recording, updating, and monitoring HR and C&B processes and procedures.
  • Employee survey analysis, collaborating with line-managers to implement action plans based on employee feedback, and visible follow-up.
  • Leave and sickness administration and assistance in case management where needed.
  • Participating in all HR projects.


Essential Requirements:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, with specific focus on compensation and benefits management.
  • International experience in compensation and benefits, or ability to map local standards and translate into strategies for GAR.
  • Change management experience.
  • Strong compensation principles and strategies knowledge.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and health/welfare plan design.
  • HRIS and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
