Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with company match.

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial support to the finance director by ensuring best-in-class financial processes and reporting. This includes driving Kraton's ability to report reliable, timely, and accurate information about the business. The analyst will also partner with stakeholders by providing steering information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in the preparation of monthly forecasts, quarterly board decks, and annual budgets.
  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the company's performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted results via statements, tables, or visual graphs.
  • Assist the finance director in management of corporate financial forecasting model.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly Board of Director presentations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual public filings.
  • Perform ad hoc reports and other analyses and special projects as requested.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in finance and accounting required.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and practices.
  • Excellent analytics, detail-oriented, and ability to challenge by seeing the broader picture.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast-paced environment.
  • SAP experience (FI/COPA/BI) preferred.
  • Experience with BPC a plus.
  • Strong financial analysis experience and cost accounting experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly automated environment and pull data and translate it into meaningful steering information for internal clients.
  • Effective communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation with an emphasis in the English language.
  • Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a matrix work environment and team structure across geographic boundaries.

Education, Certifications & Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance or accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or MBA a plus.
  • Chemical industry, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing experience required.
