Role OverviewAs the Distribution Resource Planner for our Specialty Plastics division in EMEA, you will serve as a crucial link among Sales, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Global Planning. Your primary objective is to ensure a seamless supply chain by effectively balancing supply, inventory, and demand. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including business partners and the global supply chain team, while reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour role encompasses several critical processes:
- Planning: You will create and maintain a rolling six-month supply plan for imported products, executing key analytics to optimize demand and supply balance. You will support the Supply Manager in developing a 24-month supply plan and lead S&OE meetings, communicating outcomes to stakeholders.
- Inventory Management: You will oversee warehouse inventory planning for external warehouses, managing inventory levels and replenishment orders in alignment with established targets. You will also handle aged and blocked inventories, working with manufacturing and product management to mitigate business impacts, and conduct monthly reconciliations of inventory levels.
- Project Coordination: You will facilitate problem-solving around customer inquiries and business processes, including product management and complaint resolution. You will identify and initiate improvement opportunities, enhancing processes, tools, and knowledge while optimizing shipment modes and packaging.
- Reporting: You will be responsible for timely analysis and reporting, assessing demand data and forecast accuracy, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards and required processes.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and independent thinker, capable of navigating complex environments and working collaboratively. As an experienced Distribution Resource Planner, you will have the ability to synthesize information and understand broader implications. Strong communication skills and a passion for supply chain excellence are essential.
QualificationsThis position requires strategic thinking and methodical execution. You should possess proven experience in Planning and Inventory, preferably within the process industry, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in advanced Excel, SAP, and Advanced Planning Software (preferably OMP). A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required, with APICS CPIM or a comparable certification being a significant advantage.
