Bartender and Mixologist Job Description

Main Responsibilities


  • Report directly to the Head Bartender and be responsible for the daily operations at the W Lounge.
  • Ensure that guests are wowed throughout their stay, wherever they set foot in the hotel.
  • Be an expert in cocktails, know all the ins and outs of the cocktail menu, and be comfortable whipping up new ones on the fly.
  • Welcoming and helping guests, making suggestions for cocktails they didn't even know they loved, and suggesting food pairing.
  • Follow service standards and operating procedures from the beginning to the end of each order and interaction.
  • Show guests the Whatever/Whenever service while they are with us, and connect with them to be able to personalize that service, creating memorable experiences.
  • Maintain a clean environment and ensure that everything sparkles.
  • Be on rotating shifts, with weekends and evenings being the busiest times.
  • Prepare for shifts ahead and be well-prepared for colleagues after you.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with loud music.
  • Be flexible to assist in other B&F departments (In Room Dining and Banqueting).
  • Communicate with your team and other departments is key.
  • Put the guests at the center of everything we do.


Requirements


  • Minimum of one year experience in the same or similar role.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Dutch and any other language is appreciated.
  • Experience in the Luxury Segment is an advantage.
  • Work Permit for The Netherlands is required.
