About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Optical Designer to join our team at Sioux Technologies. As a key member of our Physics & Optics group, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop optical systems and products, including imaging and machine vision applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optical systems into larger products
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical design principles and techniques
  • Guide junior engineers and colleagues from other fields in the design process
  • Coach and mentor team members to further develop their technical skills

Requirements

  • Completed academic degree (or PhD) in physics
  • Extensive experience in optical system design and development
  • Strong understanding of optical design principles and techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
