About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Optical Engineer to join our R&D team at TMC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing advanced optical systems that meet specific performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize advanced optical design software to design and optimize sophisticated optical systems.
  • Select high-performance optical components based on performance requirements.
  • Design and validate experiments to confirm optical system performance.
  • Perform complex simulations and modeling to predict and optimize optical system performance.
  • Characterize optical systems using advanced measurement techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate optical systems with electronics, mechanics, and software.
  • Drive innovation by proposing and implementing novel optical solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation to communicate findings and project updates to stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in optical system design, analysis, and experimentation.
  • Expertise in optical design software such as Zemax, Code V, or Optic Studio.
  • Strong understanding of optical principles, including geometric optics, wave optics, and Fourier optics.
  • Experience with a variety of optical characterization techniques and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and solve complex technical problems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.
