About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Owner to lead our Electrical Systems Platform team at Damen Shipyards. As a key member of our Technology Management department, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the vision and strategy for our electrical systems, ensuring they meet the business objectives and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap for electrical systems, aligning with the ship type development agenda.
  • Manage the development and standardization of modular and scalable system families, variants, and options for the Damen Workboats portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure technology development meets systems engineering principles and Verification and Validation models.
  • Embed knowledge within the organization, setting up training and instructions to ensure effective technology implementation.
  • Lead the multi-disciplinary system platform team, setting clear goals and priorities for development, implementation, and support of electrical systems.
Requirements
  • Academic degree in a technical field, such as Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Automation, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems in a relevant industry.
  • Ability to translate high-level market and business requirements into technology and system development needs.
  • Project management skills, with experience in keeping a clear overview and prioritizing effectively.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering principles and marine industry standards and regulations.
