Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    Oversee the creation and evaluation of financial statements, ensuring adherence to IFRS and local GAAP standards.
    Prepare consolidated financial reports for the EMEA region, delivering precise and timely insights to senior management.
    Track essential financial metrics, assess variances, and offer actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Financial Controlling:
    Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across the EMEA region, collaborating closely with regional managers and department heads.
    Ensure robust financial controls are established and maintained across all EMEA entities.
    Implement and supervise internal controls to protect company assets and guarantee the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with all statutory financial reporting obligations and tax regulations throughout the EMEA region.
    Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
    Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing strategies to minimize potential impacts on the business.
  • Business Partnering:
    Work alongside cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights for informed decision-making.
    Act as a financial advisor to the EMEA management team, offering guidance on the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Process Improvement:
    Drive ongoing enhancements in financial processes and systems to boost efficiency and accuracy.
    Lead efforts to standardize and harmonize financial reporting and controlling practices across the EMEA region.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial reporting, controlling, and analysis, ideally within a multinational organization in the logistics or related sector.
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS and local GAAP requirements within the EMEA region.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing financial operations across multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to the EMEA region are a plus.
