Job Description
This internship is focused on developing skills and knowledge in EMEA indirect tax, with a specific emphasis on assisting with Intrastat, VAT reporting, and EC listings for defined entities. The successful candidate will work closely with the EMEA controlling team to collect audit evidence and financial data from various sources, and assist with annual statutory audits.
The intern will also have the opportunity to assess existing processes against policies and participate in financial month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and report creation.
In addition, the intern will engage in ad hoc analysis and contribute to the development of financial reports and other materials as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must be enrolled in a Dutch university throughout the internship and have a level of education at Bachelor's or Master's degree level. A strong understanding of HBO Business Economics/Accounting or similar fields is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Candidates should also possess a hands-on mentality, a proactive attitude, high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
