Job Title: Legal Compliance Officer - Banking

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Compliance Officer to join our team at Independent Recruiters. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting programs.
  • Provide expert legal advice on regulatory changes and supervisory expectations.
  • Offer guidance on compliance topics such as Financial Economic Crime, Market Abuse, and Code of Conduct.
  • Perform regular maintenance of the Systematic Integrity Risk Analysis and compliance framework.
  • Provide training and second-line defense guidance on various compliance matters.
  • Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and reporting in line with the Annual Compliance Plan.
  • Establish and maintain the regulatory function, ensuring our clients stay informed about regulatory developments and supervisory expectations.
  • Support responses to requests from DNB and periodic requests from the parent company.
  • Contribute to the realization of our clients' business plans in a sound and controlled manner by sharing your knowledge, experience, and insights.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Dutch Law (preferably corporate or financial supervision).
  • 7-10 years' experience in the financial services industry.
  • Legal and compliance background in Europe, preferably in the Netherlands.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in financial markets regulation and supervision.
  • Open to further deepening relevant knowledge of the wholesale banking business.
  • Interested in working in and learning from an international/intercultural environment.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch preferred.
What We Offer:

This role comes with a gross annual salary in the range of €90,000 - €100,000, depending on knowledge level and experience.
