Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior High Voltage High Power Engineer to join our team at GKN Fokker Elmo. As a key member of our Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) team, you will be responsible for supporting our hybrid and full-electric customer programs. Your primary focus will be on designing and developing high-voltage power systems for sustainable aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing trade studies, design optimization studies, and multi-physics analysis on complex solutions;
  • Providing advice on component and construction selection and qualification;
  • Writing technical reports and specifications;
  • Creating test plans, test samples, and executing testing in our in-house facility;
  • Reporting and analyzing the multi-physics behavior of high-voltage power products.
Requirements
  • 3-10 years of experience in similar fields of expertise;
  • Fluent English in speech and writing, including technical reports;
  • Familiarity with electrical cable and termination design or power distribution;
  • System design background in AC industrial cabling;
  • Vehicle/aircraft system integrator knowledge;
  • Familiarity with definition of parts and materials and interactions;
  • Experience with electrical system modeling tools;
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods;
  • EMI/EMC knowledge;
  • Physical effects on high-voltage power systems;
  • Familiarity with high-voltage power design verification;
  • Experience with certification and discussions with international authorities;
  • Mastering the basics of Project Management.
