Job Title: Mechatronic System Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronic System Architect to join our team at VDL ETG Technology & Development. As a key member of our multidisciplinary project teams, you will be responsible for the specification, design, and integration of high-tech mechatronic machine modules, professional systems, and capital-intensive equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multi-disciplinary development teams to ensure in-spec, on-time delivery within budget.
  • Create topology, architectures, and concepts based on technical experience and convert those into work breakdowns.
  • Develop and implement plans and planning processes to ensure effective project execution.
  • Guide and coach engineers and sub-architects to improve their effectiveness and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with group leaders to improve design quality and grow engineers into more mature technical roles.
  • Contribute to the development of ways of working in architecture and business aspects.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or PhD in mechatronics, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or technical physics.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role in a high-tech industry.
  • Experience with design and realization of mechatronics systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
