Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechatronic System Architect to join our team at VDL ETG Technology & Development. As a key member of our multidisciplinary project teams, you will be responsible for the technical leadership of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary development teams to ensure in-spec, on-time delivery within budget.
  • Create topology, architectures, and concepts based on technical experience and convert those into work breakdowns.
  • Guide and coach multiple engineers and sub-architects in their daily routines to become more effective and knowledgeable.
  • Collaborate with group leaders on coaching of engineers and improve design quality and grow people into more mature technical roles.
  • Improve ways of working in architecture and all business and customer aspects.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or PhD in mechatronics, mechanical, or electrical engineering or in technical physics.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role in a high-tech industry.
  • Experience with design and realization of mechatronics systems.
  • Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude.
  • Ability to balance the needs of stakeholders with conflicting system specifications.
