Job Title: Ship Electrician

Are you an electrical engineer looking for a challenging role in the maritime industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Ship Electrician to join our team at Oceanwide.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ship Electrician to join our team. As a Ship Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing on-board electrical systems, ensuring strict adherence to client standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the electrical integrity of on-board technical installations, optimizing systems and resolving related issues.
  • Take charge of electrical maintenance and modifications, consulting with the Chief Engineer.
  • Work independently or collaborate with colleagues to achieve objectives, depending on complexity.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate or higher vocational qualification in Electronic or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Hold a seaman's book, valid medical certification, and STCW Basic Safety certificate. An ETO-license is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Minimum three years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally in maritime or industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in network systems, communication/navigation systems, and remote connections.
  • Strong PLC and network expertise required.
  • Specific knowledge regarding ROV's, offshore cranes, cable lay installations, dredging equipment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, stress-resistance, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in the English language.
