About the Role

The Big Capital Engineer will play a key role in identifying issues in returned capital equipment and proposing corrective actions to eliminate failure modes. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify issues in returned capital equipment and propose corrective actions to eliminate failure modes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve issues
  • Develop processes for the testing, rework, repair, and disposition of all Service Returned products
  • Perform service and repair of designated electronic or mechanical products in the most efficient manner, adhering to established quality standards
  • Collaborate with the OU's Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality teams, including the Complaint department to determine product failures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience or Master's degree with 3 years of experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience in leading and serving in a technical role for Failure Analysis or Reliability Engineering
  • Experience with Big Capital platform or complex mechanical system
