Job Title: Robotics & Control Engineer

Destinus is a pioneering aerospace technology company that's revolutionizing the future of transportation. We're building near-space vehicles and infrastructure to make distance irrelevant. Our hydrogen-powered vehicles are ten times faster than conventional aircraft, providing a just-in-time backbone for logistics, e-commerce, and supply chain companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of passionate GNC engineers and contribute to GNC design and development activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop, and integrate GNC solutions into UAVs.
  • Define control laws and algorithm architecture for on-board automation systems, including flight controls and navigation systems.
  • Identify possible failure modes and define robust contingency control laws to maintain safe flight.
  • Work package management of a defined scope, driving the project work forward to achieve agreed deliverables on time and to budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in GNC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years of industry or postgraduate experience in GNC Engineering.
  • Strong applied math foundations and ability to derive algorithms related to guidance, navigation, and control.
  • Experience in linear and non-linear feedback control system design.
  • Experience with Kalman filtering, sensor fusion algorithms, and simulation development.
  • Experience with C development for embedded systems and version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and team management.
  • Fluent English Speaker.
