Job Description

As a Circle Lead in Financial Markets & Group Treasury Accounting Services, you will be responsible for leading a team of accounting experts to deliver effective and efficient processes and services. Your primary goal will be to develop and embed controls that safeguard the compliance of relevant policies and standards and meet business partner expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute all activities of the organisation in Netherlands and ING Hubs, including risk & control activities to remain in control and keep the bank safe.
  • Steer team members, provide strategic direction, coach them on the job, define the product roadmap, and manage stakeholders.
  • Empower team members to thrive and perform at their best, set direction, help them develop their craftsmanship, and have continuous conversations about their career development.
  • Report hierarchically to the Super Circle Lead Financial Accounting.
Requirements
  • Current residency in the Netherlands.
  • Masters Degree (University / Postgraduate) and ~10 years of experience in the area of expertise and relevant experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives (~5 years).
  • Experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting in the financial service industry.
  • Interprets and applies comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and banking laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Builds Customer Loyalty by making every customer interaction positive.
  • Compliance Management by achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
  • Customer Service Delivery by meeting high customer service standards.
  • Managing Change by providing guidance and support to others on maintaining high performance while applying a change mindset to the planning, execution, and monitoring of business activities during times of change.
  • Planning and Organizing by planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives with the team.
  • Resourcing and Workforce Planning by ensuring the organization can recruit people with the skills it needs to achieve competitive advantage, while also balancing its resources in order to meet short-term and long-term strategic goals.
