Sustainable Buildings Business Development Opportunity

As a Business Developer in TNO's Sustainable Buildings team, you will play a key role in driving innovation and growth in the field of sustainable buildings. With a strong focus on functional coatings and polymer films for energy-efficient smart windows and photovoltaics, you will work closely with industry partners to develop and market new value propositions.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Business Developer to join our team at Brightlands Materials Center in Geleen. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and marketing our value propositions, primarily focusing on the further development and application of our Sustainable Buildings platform. You will connect with glass processors, coating applicators, polymer film producers, solar companies, building companies, and real estate developers to support companies throughout the entire value chain.
Your core activities will include contract negotiation and licensing arrangements, conducting market research, and expanding TNO's industry and partner network. You will also support the management of the Industry division of TNO's Energy & Materials Transition unit in developing and validating the proposition portfolio.
Requirements- A university science degree preferably in a science discipline (e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, applied physics);
- 5+ years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the flat glass, coating or polymer film industry;
- Experience working in a research and technology-oriented environment;
- International experience and willingness to travel are a plus;
- Knowledge of and a network in the building industry is a plus;
- At least B2 proficiency in Dutch and English.
Challenging and varied work with a real impact. A gross monthly salary between € 62,000 and € 84,000 (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33%, and a flex budget (5.58% + € 750). In addition, you will be given every opportunity to develop yourself.
