Digital Transformation Lead for Legal Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Legal Operations & Transformation Services team in Amstelveen, Netherlands. This pivotal role will involve working on diverse digitalisation projects and change management initiatives within leading companies.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will act as a full-fledged advisor to international companies, financial institutions, and governmental institutions, setting up Legal Operations, Change Management, and Legal Technology programmes with them. The focus will be on development - developing clients, internal employees, business strategies, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benchmarking of legal departments regarding cost and performance KPI with dedicated peer groups
  • Assessment of Legal Operations Maturity
  • Design Thinking workshop for determination of short/mid/long term optimization topics within legal
  • Evaluation of output and assessment of relevance, complexity, potential risk, and standardization potential
  • Design of a future internal and external service portfolio
  • Definition of IT strategy and selection of possible IT solutions
  • Process design for external law firm management
  • Identify initiatives for the implementation of the new organizational design and target architecture
  • Implement and monitor initiatives, followed by a hand over to the business
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years post qualification experience
  • Flair for communication and ability to convey messages effectively
  • Proven experience in Change Management
  • Strong skills in Project Management
  • Ability to build a network and grow a team
  • Experience in Consultancy and Advisory roles
  • Ability to provide strategic advice based on comprehensive understanding of the industry
  • Ability to act at the intersection of law and technology
  • Affinity and experience with Legal Tech and Legal Operations
  • Enthusiasm for digitalization, IT, Artificial Intelligence
  • Commercial mindset with strong business acumen
  • Fluent in English and Dutch

  • Competitive salary: €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Bonus: Up to 20% of annual salary
  • Fixed expense allowance: €5,000 per year
