About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled EU Corporate Sustainability Strategist to join our team at ACT Commodities. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing corporate sustainability solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop new corporate sustainability products and programs, expanding coverage for existing ACT corporate sustainability products.
  • Develop innovative approaches and solutions to enhance sustainability solutions for corporate clients, including insetting solutions.
  • Monitor key regulations (EU and national) linked to carbon accounting and ESG regulatory responsibilities.
  • Coordinate corporate sustainability topics across geographies, facilitating information exchange.
  • Provide insights to clients on corporate sustainability trends and understand broad topics related to corporate sustainability and how they fit into ACT's customers' sustainability journey.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create deliverables for corporate clients.
  • Build and deepen the knowledge of the sales team on corporate sustainability topics, creating internal guidance documents.

Requirements:

  • Masters graduate in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Business, Finance, or a relevant field with a focus on environmental or sustainability topics.
  • Strong affinity for corporate sustainability standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP) and trends, Scope 3 accounting and solutions, and carbon markets with knowledge of carbon products related to the Paris Agreement.
  • Fluent in English, with French, German, or Spanish as a plus.
  • Commercially minded approach to work, with intellect, curiosity, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for taking initiative and a commercial and creative mind.
