About Selby Jennings

We are a leading financial services firm seeking a highly skilled compliance expert to serve as the Senior Compliance Expert for our exchange operations. This role is integral to our leadership team, contributing to our growth and development by ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and overseeing adherence to exchange rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure fair, orderly, and transparent markets through effective risk management strategies.
  • Maintain strict adherence to exchange rules and procedures, guaranteeing seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with our Management Board to establish and maintain a framework that positions our exchange at the forefront of global best practices.
  • Conduct offsite reviews and onsite inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with rules and internal controls among members.
  • Participate in market surveillance activities through relevant committees to safeguard market integrity.
  • Manage disciplinary proceedings against non-compliant members, upholding regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the performance of outsourced service providers and report to governance committees, ensuring robust control measures.
  • Evaluate the exchange's recognition requirements across various jurisdictions, anticipate regulatory changes, and influence new regulations to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Serve as the central liaison with regulators, coordinating and responding to regulatory queries, and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submission of regulatory returns and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Coordinate compliance reporting to our head office, providing real-time updates on regulatory developments.
