About the Role

The Senior Manager, Market Development and Growth will play a critical role in driving business growth and expansion at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new market segments, developing strategic partnerships, and driving business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market development strategies to drive business growth and expansion
  • Identify and evaluate new market segments and opportunities for growth
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers and partners
  • Drive business development initiatives, including market research, competitive analysis, and market sizing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to drive business growth and expansion
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to drive business growth and expansion
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform business strategy

Requirements

  • University degree (or similar) in a relevant scientific field (for example: Material Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering)
  • Validated understanding of electron microscopes or materials characterization techniques
  • Proven managerial experience exhibiting leadership and mentorship skills to develop and drive colleagues to meet business objectives
  • Experienced in interacting with highly technical customers and communicating complicated technical concepts to various audiences
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to facilitate communication with management, partners, customers, product marketing, R&D, and Sales
  • Validated ability to independently diagnose, propose, and implement solutions in highly dynamic environments
  • History of market and or business and or sales development, understanding market sizing, and ability to draft plans on how to assess and access a new market
  • Willing and able to travel internationally up to 30%
