Your Role

You will be a vital part of the Data Analytics team, which is central to Vandebron's operations. This team empowers various business units such as digital, finance, marketing, electric mobility, and customer service to make informed, data-driven decisions through automated reporting, in-depth statistical analysis, and the development and maintenance of data products.

Collaboration with leadership teams is essential to support company-wide initiatives and facilitate strategic decision-making. You will work within a dynamic commercial analytics team composed of data analysts and engineers, guided by a Product Owner.

Our team operates in a fast-paced environment, making impactful decisions while balancing the responsibilities of building and maintaining a cutting-edge data platform, data modeling, dashboard creation, and tackling advanced analytics challenges alongside a broader group of business analysts across various domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and manage our modern data architecture, ensuring the smooth operation of current and future ETL/ELT pipelines while assisting analysts and engineers in extending the existing infrastructure.
  • Oversee our orchestration tools to guarantee that our critical data products are accessible to both internal and external teams.
  • Collaborate closely within a cohesive central data team that includes analysts, engineers, and data scientists, serving as the primary contact for embedded analysts.
  • Actively share and present your insights and expertise with other business units, embedded analysts, and the broader data community.
  • Continuously learn new tools and techniques to enhance our existing data infrastructure.

Your Impact

  • Possess a robust background and substantial experience as a data engineer (minimum of 2 years).
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python and SQL, along with comprehensive knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with contemporary data tools is preferred, with experience in Snowflake/dbt (or general data modeling) and orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster).
  • Exhibit a commitment to assisting stakeholders and analysts in deriving value from their data, showing interest beyond mere technicalities.
  • Proactively address business challenges, sharing insights with stakeholders and assisting others in uncovering data-driven solutions.
  • Experience with visualization tools for reporting purposes.
  • Preferably experienced with version control and comfortable using git in a centralized environment.
  • Possess strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate closely within a tight-knit team.
