We are seeking a PhD candidate to join our research team at Universiteit Utrecht. The successful candidate will be part of a project focused on designing and developing educational tools to foster safe sports environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test educational tools, such as a serious game and/or AI Dialogue Trainer, to promote learning and awareness about interpersonal violence and bystander behavior in sports environments.
- Conduct research on safe sports environments, exploring the dynamics of interpersonal violence and the role of bystanders in preventing harm.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team, including experts in social sciences, technology, and design.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as sports studies, human-computer interaction, or design science.
- Strong interest in bridging the gap between social science and technology or design science.
- Excellent English language skills, both in speaking and writing.
- Experience with programming and machine learning, particularly in natural language processing and conversational agents.
- A position with a large degree of freedom and high engagement with societal relevant partners to create impact with your research.
