About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operations (80%) and development (20%) of our facility, ensuring that product delivery aligns with our stringent quality standards and agreed timelines. As the Site Manager, you will foster an environment that adheres to our Mid Term Plan while maintaining legal and regulatory compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the budget and production of plastic products, driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and overseeing capacity planning.
- Champion ESH initiatives by cultivating a safety-first environment, implementing improvements, and ensuring a comprehensive Safety Plan is established.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to create a high-quality working environment and support quality planning and execution.
- Maintain established standards of quality, accuracy, and performance, directing corrective actions as necessary.
- Evaluate employee performance and efficiency, approving hiring, terminations, transfers, and promotions while working with HR to develop ongoing training programs.
- Optimize employee management to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Partner with Sales to innovate new products that drive business growth.
- Supervise the planning department to enhance manufacturing process efficiency and accuracy.
- Establish and uphold performance metrics for manufacturing operations.
- Support infrastructural needs and ensure coordination among all relevant parties on site.
- Create an organizational structure that provides the team with essential data to define tasks and programs necessary to meet our objectives.
Your Qualifications:
- A university degree in an engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations, preferably in the plastics or chemical industry.
- Proven expertise in Safety, Stable Operations, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management.
- Strong focus on standard setting, coaching, and organizational skills to enhance team performance across all plant operations.
- Effective leadership skills, with a focus on critical success factors, KPIs, and data analysis.
- Proficient in change management, negotiation, and communication.
- Hands-on approach with a team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch (native) and English.
