About the Role

We are seeking a motivated economics student to join our Impact & Economics team as a Macroeconomic Forecasting Intern. In this role, you will help us improve our general macroeconomic forecasting process and develop our Genuine Progress Forecast, a forecast based on the Genuine Progress Indicator methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Excel templates for quick visualization of intermediate results in the forecasting process
  • Develop country-specific results templates to forecast the economic development of some eurozone countries
  • Help create and run scenarios for the Genuine Progress Forecast
  • Help present the results of the Genuine Progress Forecast in an attractive and accessible manner
Requirements
  • Enrolled at a higher education institution (MBO, HBO or WO) throughout the duration of the internship
  • Good understanding of macroeconomics in general and forecasting in particular
  • Ability to work in an organized and relatively independent manner
  • Excellent data handling skills
  • Interest in Beyond GDP indicators
  • Motivated to communicate research findings to a wider audience
  • Good command of English
