Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to drive the strategic direction of steel sourcing across EMEA. The role will involve travel to our sites to learn about factories and build internal networks and relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement new cost reduction opportunities, including action plans.
  • Support the Global Sr. Director Sourcing for Steel, Utilities, and Operation Equipment, as well as the Global Supply Chain team.
  • Source all strategic steel and steel component demand in EMEA and define the overall sourcing strategy, including a multi-year sourcing roadmap for strategic suppliers.
  • Collaborate with a leading team of technicians to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and reduce Greif's CO2 footprint.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Project Teams to develop the sourcing strategy for Steel and Steel Components, drive the make-or-buy process, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate significant category management and sourcing experience.
  • Demonstrate steel market knowledge in relation to manufacturing, to be the expert for Greif on buying and material trends.
  • Show a hunger to drive cost reduction and process efficiency improvements.
  • Demonstrate agility in adapting to business changes.
  • Influence others as part of a change management expertise.
