We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Transport, Infrastructure, and Mobility (TIM) team at Ecorys. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping our transport policy and decarbonisation strategies, working closely with EU institutions and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to projects that require meticulous economic and policy analysis, focusing on decarbonisation of transport and mobility sectors within the EU framework.
- Coordinate the development of proposals and secure new projects by leveraging your industry knowledge and professional network.
- Manage project implementation with a focus on sustainable transport policies and practices.
- Engage with European institutions, maintaining and establishing relationships that enhance Ecorys' influence and effectiveness in policy-making circles.
- Act as the main contact for clients, effectively managing stakeholder communications and partnerships.
- Take ownership of and provide high-quality written inputs to reports, presentations, and other research and consultancy outputs.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues from other sectors and partner organisations.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their professional skills and contribute to the team's overall expertise.
- MSc or PhD in Economics or another relevant field.
- Knowledge of European research and innovation policy.
- Proven experience in policy evaluation, impact assessment, and managing complex projects in the transport or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience in managing and writing winning proposals, preferably within the procurement processes of EU institutions.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple timelines effectively.
- Highly motivated with strong communication skills.
- Relevant network in Brussels and across Europe.
- Fluent in English - additional European languages would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in economic analytical tools and techniques, especially those related to policy assessment.
- Experience with complex stakeholder engagement would be an asset.
