Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Owner to lead our HVAC Systems Platform team. As a System Owner, you will be responsible for the development, standardization, and maintenance of our HVAC systems throughout the entire lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Define a clear vision and strategy for the HVAC Systems Platform, aligning with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Develop and manage the short-, mid-, and long-term Technology Development roadmap, ensuring alignment with ship type development agendas.
- Manage the development and standardization of modular and scalable system families, variants, and options to meet the needs of our Damen Workboats portfolio.
- Approve supplier/partner strategies in close cooperation with Damen Category Management and Product groups.
- Lead the multi-disciplinary system platform team, setting clear goals and priorities for development, implementation, and support of the systems.
- Initiate and organize collaboration with internal and external key partners, setting responsibilities and building the organization to enable systems platforms throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensure technology development adheres to systems engineering principles and Verification and Validation models.
- Embed knowledge within the organization, setting up training and instructions.
- Academic level with a bachelor's and/or master's degree in a technical direction, e.g., Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Automation, or Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstratable knowledge of the specific technical domain in a relevant industry.
- Ability to translate high-level market and business requirements and opportunities into technology and system development needs.
- Project management qualities, capable of keeping a clear overview and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Experience with the application of Systems Engineering principles.
- Experience with the development and integration of (marine) installations, including cooperation with third parties.
- Experience with (marine) industry standards and regulations.
- High-quality consciousness and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus.
