We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Psychologist to join our team at International School Utrecht. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological assessments, guidance, and support to students in the age group 4-12.
Responsibilities:- Assessment and Guidance: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and observations, analyze learning and behavioral issues, and develop action plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Support and Advice: Provide expert support to students with social-emotional or learning difficulties, assist teachers and parents in managing specific issues, and advise on appropriate education and care pathways.
- Prevention and Intervention: Develop and implement preventive programs on topics such as anxiety, bullying, and resilience, collaborating with internal counselors and care coordinators.
- Collaboration and Networking: Maintain contact with external organizations such as youth care services and mental health institutions.
- Qualifications and Experience: Master degree in Psychology, preferably in Clinical, Educational, or School Psychology, BIG registration as healthcare specialist (GZ-psychologist), and experience in primary education with children in the age group 4-12.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and coaching skills, flexibility, proactivity, and a solid understanding of evidence-based learning support and social-emotional interventions used in a school setting.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Dutch, be willing to work closely and collaboratively in a strong team, and be able to work independently.
