We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our Materials Simulation and Modeling (MSM) research unit as an Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computational physics, chemistry, and materials science, with a focus on multiscale modeling and simulation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality academic research in the field of multiscale materials modeling and simulation.
- Develop and lead research projects, including securing funding and supervising students at the bachelor, master, and PhD levels.
- Contribute to the development of the Applied Physics bachelor's and master's teaching programs.
- Collaborate with other research units, multidisciplinary institutes, and industry partners to advance the field of materials science.
- PhD in computational physics, computational chemistry, or materials science.
- At least two years of research experience in multiscale modeling and simulation.
- Strong background in combining quantum mechanical and classical methods applied to complex materials and interfaces.
- Demonstrated teaching ability and experience in teaching or assisting in teaching.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, including experience in coaching and mentoring students and young researchers.
- A meaningful job in a dynamic and ambitious university, in an interdisciplinary setting and within an international network.
- A development track with the prospect of becoming Associate Professor and the possibility of an immediate tenured position.
