About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team at Damen Services. As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing maritime solutions that meet customer requirements. You will work closely with the Product responsible to develop proposals that are tailored to the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Sales teams to understand customer drivers, issues, and expectations.
  • Collect and analyze information to estimate costs, time, labor, and materials for project execution.
  • Develop and standardize services within the Services portfolio, including training, vessel dockings, and comprehensive spares packages.
  • Participate in tender teams and tender deliverable development.
  • Arrange handover from D&P Services to the project execution team upon effective order.
  • Stay involved during project execution to obtain feedback and improve future proposals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Shipbuilding, or Maritime Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with other modern languages considered an asset.
  • Result-oriented, with initiative and commercial skills.
  • Decisive and flexible, with a methodical approach.
  • Able to influence, put things into perspective, and have the patience needed to achieve results.
  • Customer-oriented, with the ability to manage expectations.
  • Willing to occasionally travel.
  • Part-time or full-time, 32 to 40 hours a week.
