In the vibrant city of The Hague, a new hotel and restaurant concept is set to make its mark. Located in an iconic building where urban landscapes meet natural wonders, De Plesman aims to provide a unique culinary experience.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at De Plesman. As an Executive Pastry Artisan, you will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that showcase your expertise and creativity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and prepare a variety of innovative pastry dishes, taking into account seasonal ingredients and trends;
  • Design and present dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing dining experience;
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the pastry kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations;
  • Manage inventory and source the best ingredients to support your creative endeavors;
  • Train and mentor junior staff within the pastry team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork;
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end establishment;
  • Degree in Pastry Arts or related field;
  • Proven track record of creativity, innovation, and attention to detail;
  • Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and guide junior staff;
  • Familiarity with Dutch cuisine and ingredients;
What We Offer

As an Executive Pastry Artisan at De Plesman, you can expect a competitive salary range between €45,000 and €65,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
