About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer Requirements Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for identifying and managing customer requirements for naval shipbuilding projects. Your expertise in requirements management will ensure that our customers' needs are met, and our products are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture and analyze customer requirements using our requirements management tool (DOORS)
  • Develop and maintain requirements baselines and ensure traceable changes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish clear functional and non-functional specifications
  • Participate in the formulation of requirements and identify potential conflicts
  • Communicate proactively with project engineers and stakeholders to ensure requirements are well understood and met
  • Maintain the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) and ensure the Verification & Validation plan is effectively executed
  • Generate reports documenting the status and progress of requirements verification and validation activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a relevant technical field
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, especially in requirements management and verification
  • Experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
  • Affinity with engineering processes and a willingness to work in a matrix organizational structure
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
