About the Role

Damen Shipyards is seeking a skilled Systems Analysis Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating system models for complex naval vessels, describing their functional behavior, and ensuring traceability of requirements through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and update the systems analysis and modelling processes
  • Maintain the Systems Modelling Management plan, detailing the process
  • Actively engage with and provide support to various modelling and design teams
  • Assist in the requirements engineering process and the V&V process
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, preferably in (naval) shipbuilding
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles
  • Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and requirements engineering
  • Knowledge of the Arcadia Method and experience with CAPELLA (or equivalent MBSE) tools
  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS is a plus
  • Key competencies: team-player, conscientious, communicative, proactive, and planning-oriented
  • Mastery of the English language, both written and verbal. The ability to read German is considered a plus
  • Excellent antecedents because a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure
  • Permanent multiyear EU citizenship combined with permanent EU work visa are all requirements of the recruitment process for viable candidates, given the military nature of clients and projects
