About Power BI Engineer at Marel

We are looking for a driven Power BI Engineer who is ready to join our mission by architecting, designing, and implementing advanced data engineering and modeling solutions that underpin our BI capabilities.

This role is critical for developing a robust, scalable BI infrastructure that supports strategic data analysis, reporting, and visualization needs across Marel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a scalable and efficient BI infrastructure, focusing on data engineering practices that enhance data accessibility, reliability, and quality.
  • Architect data models and ETL processes that serve as the backbone for insightful analytics and BI solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex BI projects, transforming business requirements into technical specifications and actionable insights.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of semantic models, Power BI reports and DAX queries to ensure high performance and usability.

About You

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, BI architecture, or a closely related field, with demonstrated success in designing and implementing BI solutions.
  • Proven experience in Power BI enterprise solution development, including semantic models, composite models, report and dashboard creation, DAX, and Power Query & strong understanding of dimensional modeling principles and experience with SQL and relational databases.
