Internship Overview
As a Finance & Global Procurement Intern at our international headquarters, you will acquire hands-on experience in generating business insights and recommendations through the analysis and benchmarking of procurement outcomes related to costs and cash flow.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in procurement finance tasks: Supporting daily finance activities related to procurement (period-end closing, forecasting, budgeting, enhancing cash flow, etc.).
- Contributing to an intelligent automation initiative in Procurement Finance aimed at streamlining finance processes and reducing manual tasks for the procurement finance team.
- Developing robust processes and (Excel) models to assess the impact of feedstock and energy market fluctuations on procurement outcomes.
- Generating and updating reports utilizing various systems at JDE Peet's (Excel, SAP, BW, Power BI, BPC, etc.).
- Engaging in activities concerning purchasing price components, market influences on cost pricing, standard cost price determination, inflation, and productivity.

Here’s what we seek:
- Academic Background: You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) program throughout the internship, preferably in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Skills: You have strong MS Office capabilities and are proficient in spoken and written English. Previous hands-on experience with food research activities is advantageous.
- Personal Attributes: You possess a structured mindset, a motivated and energetic demeanor, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- Commitment: You are prepared to dedicate a minimum of six months to this internship.
- Availability: You can commit to working five days a week (typically three days in-office and two days from home), ensuring a balanced approach to collaboration and independence.
