About the Role

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with customers in the Specialty Plastics business. To achieve this, the Inside Sales Representative must prioritize efforts across their territory, generate demand through discovery, and successfully progress opportunities to win new business. Approximately 25%+ travel is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory plan to align with business strategy and customer needs
  • Generate and develop sales leads to find new opportunities and achieve sales goals
  • Cultivate relationships with customer organizations to identify growth opportunities
  • Use effective techniques to protect and close new business, ensuring sales order values meet sales budget targets
  • Utilize Opportunity Management process to prioritize, track, and win sales opportunities
  • Create and maintain a Territory Management Plan to ensure maximum business growth from the sales territory
  • Develop and document account plans for accounts within the territory
  • Ensure opportunities have the required resources to enable timely funnel progression
  • Use consultative selling skills to effectively communicate and capture value
  • Leverage CRM for documentation, collaboration, and analysis
  • Develop market and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Forecast based on customer insights, market insights, and opportunity progression to provide monthly volume guidance
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms of sales agreements
  • Conduct data-based territory analysis and prioritize efforts to maximize territory performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Science, Finance, or Engineering preferred)
  • 0-5 years of sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills required
