Job Title: Master General Cargo

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Master General Cargo to join our team at Oceanwide. As a Master General Cargo, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently navigating the vessel, leading and motivating the onboard crew, and ensuring the smooth execution of operational tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the ship's personnel and ensuring smooth execution of the daily operation on board.
  • Operating the ship in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and laws.
  • Maintaining communication with shore authorities and other vessels.
  • Supervising cargo loading, transportation, and unloading.
  • Coordinating with the on-duty chief engineer to resolve any operational or technical issues.
  • Reporting to the shipping company about the voyage progress and incidents.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory certifications like STCW.
  • Unlimited Master license.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Master.
  • Excellent navigation and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of maritime laws and regulations.
  • Good command of the English language, verbal and written.
  • A positive, proactive approach towards the crew.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
