Job Title: Maritime Officer General Cargo Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Officer General Cargo Specialist to join our team at Oceanwide. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our General Cargo vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Navigation assistance and support in maneuvering under guidance of the Master on duty.
  • Managing and coordinating all deck operations, including loading and unloading, maintenance work, and safety training.
  • Supervising and training the deck crew to ensure safety and skills.
  • Implementing and enforcing international and local maritime laws and regulations.
  • Active contribution to voyage planning, monitoring weather forecasts, and managing ship documents.
  • Acting as a liaison between Master and crew for optimal communication.

Requirements:

  • Possession of required STCW certificates, including a valid COC as a Maritime Officer.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Maritime Officer at sea.
  • Extensive knowledge of navigation, leadership, and maritime regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • A team player who can work proactively and solution-oriented under pressure.
