About the Role

The EU eCom Planning & Trading team is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their ranks. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for translating financial forecasts into seasonal open-to-buy plans for specific categories, identifying business opportunities and risks, and representing these plans to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a high-performance culture across the buying, planning, and trading teams by maintaining clear communication, analyzing assortment performance, and delivering recommendations for improvement.
  • Own the monthly IBP process for respective assortment areas of competence, providing insights and guidance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide transparency in reconciling month-to-date (or quarter-to-date, or year-to-date) assortment performance with a seasonal perspective, focusing on segmenting performance as owned vs. partner programs and full price vs. other marketing buckets.
  • Support monthly buy review sessions by ensuring transparency on relevant insights and acting as a catalyst for relevant topics from different teams.
  • Support business cases for future opportunities from a short-term perspective and mid- and long-term.
  • Deliver seasonal merchandise financial plans and seasonal buy sign-off plans in collaboration with EU eCom Buying to drive productivity and profitability.
  • Support optimizing and driving category performance in collaboration with EU Buying, Merchandising Operations, Demand Planning, Digital Visual Merchandising, Brand, and other Functions to meet topline (demand/net sales), margin, and other profitability targets.
  • Support evolving approach and processes for all planning and trading milestones, regular meetings, and business updates by leveraging internal and external networks to define optimization opportunities and best practices.
  • Participate in major seasonal and go-to-market milestones to gain insight into key seasonal brand and BU strategies and initiatives.
  • Create and guide cross-functional collaboration among stakeholders to optimize performance within the regular cadence of weekly and monthly trading practices.
  • Identify and react to changing business and industry landscapes and create/execute strategies to maintain sales momentum.
  • Support the team in interacting with Global Trading Analytics, EU Analytics, and other analytics teams to optimize reporting solutions and capabilities and create new tools to make recommendations and influence business decisions.
