About the Role
The Sr Manager Operations is a key position within Dover Fueling Solutions, responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of various departments, including Goods Received, Warehousing, Production, and Facility Management.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will lead a team of 25-30 employees, guiding them in the implementation of operational excellence principles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring optimal planning and execution of Pick-Pack-Ship and Production processes
- Reassigning resources to balance capacity with planning
- Securing and optimizing quality and cost/efficiency of products/services
- Closing interactions with other departments, including Customer Service, Procurement, Expedition, Finance, and Engineering
- Ensuring EHS and Quality procedures are followed and promoting a culture of EHS and Quality
- Organizing and leading Facility Management, including certifications and subcontractor management
- Tracking relevant KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 8-10 years of direct people leadership experience in a production environment
- Experience working with productivity and methodology tools, such as Lean and Visual Management
- Familiarity with problem-solving tools and techniques, including A3 and 5-Why
- Thorough working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Excellent working knowledge of office software
- Good knowledge of Operations and its needs to meet customer requirements
