TNO is seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to contribute to the development of electromembrane separation technologies for sustainable industrial electrification. As an intern, you will work closely with our team of experts to identify and strengthen these technologies, which have the potential to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in industrial processes.
What We Expect from You- Enrollment in a MSc course in a relevant field, such as electrochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or process engineering.
- Hands-on attitude and basic knowledge of working in a laboratory, with a preference for a VCA certificate.
- Prior knowledge of electrochemistry and electroseparation technologies is a strong requirement, with familiarity with electrodialysis, capacitive deionization, or related processes being an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English, particularly for presenting work and writing reports.
- A passion for developing innovative solutions to technically challenging problems and a mix of intellectual curiosity and pragmatism.
TNO offers a highly professional and innovative internship environment, with a team of top experts and a suitable internship allowance. You will also have the opportunity to learn and apply analytical techniques, such as HPLC(MS), and to organize and communicate the results of your work to an audience of scientists. The result of your internship may lead to the publication of a scientific paper in a peer-reviewed journal or a patent application.
The assignment can be performed as a master thesis, and applications are welcome until 31st December. Preferred start date: March.
