About the Role

NIBC is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team. As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the bank is compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze complex regulatory texts and their impact on NIBC;
  • Assess the legal impact of financial regulatory laws and support colleagues in assessing operational impact;
  • Assist in the implementation of new regulatory changes;
  • Support the running of NIBC's Regulatory Expert Network;
  • Contribute to reporting on regulatory change to senior management and the Regulatory Change Committee;
  • Provide ad-hoc legal regulatory advice to management and departments within the bank.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in law, preferably with a specialization in financial regulatory law;
  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable position in the financial industry, a law firm, or a financial regulatory authority;
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and EU financial laws and regulations;
  • Experience with making impact assessments and translating laws and regulations into practical advice;
  • General knowledge of the banking industry and NIBC's products and services;
  • Analytical mind and attention to detail, with a pragmatic approach;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Ability to simplify complex matters and build a strong network within the bank.
