Technical Subcontract Manager Combat Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Subcontract Manager Combat to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in specifying, coordinating, and managing all technical activities for sub-contracted combat systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors and suppliers during project preparation and execution, with a focus on short and medium-term goals.
- Ensure full compliance of combat systems products and services with applicable requirements and specifications, within agreed schedules, quality, and cost limits.
- Take ownership of integration activities in complex medium-value projects and manage corresponding subcontractors.
- Organize and participate in project reviews.
- Secure the execution and synchronization of project activities related to all deliverables and obligations of subcontractors.
- Participate in contractual milestones, tests, and trials, such as FAT, HAT, and SAT.
- Assist the warranty authority on identified warranty issues.
- Support proposal evaluations, technical evaluations, and cost/price analyses.
- Assist in defining, establishing, and validating functional and physical interfaces as the Combat System Integrator (CSI).
- 5+ years of technical subcontract management experience, preferably in the naval or shipbuilding sector.
- Relevant knowledge and experience with complex systems, preferably in the shipbuilding or naval sector.
- Solid communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good contract management skills and affinity with legal language and technical terminology.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
- Good project management experience and ideally with project management qualification.
- Excellent command of the English language, Dutch, and/or German language knowledge or willingness to learn.
- Excellent references and antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required, and candidates with NL/EU work visa or with both EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible due to the military nature of our projects.
