Key Tasks
- Contribute to the discussion and decision-making on general education policy within the Graduate School of Social Sciences;
- Contribute to and support the development of new policy, with specific attention to the needs and interests of students;
- Help to supervise proper implementation and monitoring of Graduate School of Social Sciences policy, with specific attention to the needs and interests of students and to the diversity of the student population;
- Contribute to the development and execution of internationalisation policy and the international (student) environment at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences;
- Periodically meet with the student representatives of the Graduate School of Social Sciences degree programmes and to bring up problems and wishes from these fora which span across degree programmes or are not adequately addressed at degree programme level;
- Periodically initiate meetings with the Faculty Student Council and study associations, in order to discuss mutual problem areas and needs;
- Periodically meet with other Board of Studies (BOS) students within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences and the University of Amsterdam in the interest of developing collective positions and joint initiatives;
- Organise the labour-market/career event of the Social Sciences, together with the student board members of the College of Social Science.
